Join Councilmember Agran and Solar Rights Alliance at the Rooftop Solar Town Hall, where we'll discuss the looming California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Utility Tax and its impact on solar energy. In addition to the latest developments in California's solar revolution, we'll talk about Irvine and consumer resources. Come ready with your questions.

About Solar Rights Alliance

Solar Rights Alliance is a statewide nonprofit association of California solar users. They include homeowners, renters, businesses, nonprofits, schools, and others from all parts of California and walks of life. They also welcome solar supporters who don’t have solar yet. Solar Rights Alliance alerts you when there is a threat or opportunity to their solar investment and provides you with simple and clear ways that you can make your voice heard. They provide information about buying, maintaining or improving your solar system and assist you with your questions or problems.

About Selene Lawrence

Selene Lawrence, Energy and Outreach Programs Administrator for the City of Irvine, is an engaging public speaker, innovative community organizer, and sustainability practitioner with a strong background in policy development and community outreach.

About Cailey Underhill 

Cailey Underhill is the Advocacy and Development Director of the Solar Rights Alliance. Cailey taught high school English for six years after obtaining a Master of Science in English Education. The pandemic served as a catalyst for her decision to engage more directly in protecting the environmental future her students deserve. Her first campaign was with the Solar Rights Alliance, working to stop the solar tax. Cailey helped organize rallies, petition drives, and phone-in campaigns that involved more than 1,000 people and got coverage in the LA Times, NPR, and more.
