Here is a round-up of the 2023 State of the City photos from last night at the Barclay Theatre! Seeing the community come together to celebrate our amazing City was heart-warming, especially as we look toward the future.

Save the date for the first meeting of our "Trees 101 – Irvine's Urban Forest" series on March 29, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the Conference & Training Center at the City of Irvine City Hall. The program will provide an overview of the City's Landscape Department, arborist team, mission, urban forestry budget, a summary of current tree management practices and programs, and more! The City of Irvine's Urban Forestry program helps keep our trees safe and healthy, and greatly benefits our residents and the environment! With over 500,000 trees in our City, Irvine has received the "Tree City USA" designation for over 30 years.

Light refreshments will be provided at 6:30 PM. No registration is required!

Over the weekend, Councilmember Agran attended the High School Youth Action Team’s 29th Annual Teen Summit at the Lakeview Senior Center, where over 300 high school students attended workshops on teen-related topics. The High School Youth Action Team (HSYAT) allows high school students to participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating services for their peers. Councilmember Agran thanks City staff, especially the members of the HSYAT, for organizing and hosting the event.

Transparency, accountability, honesty, and integrity are important to Councilmember Agran. That's why his voting record has been updated with his votes from the February 28th Great Park Board and City Council meetings.

The Great Park Board reviewed the Great Park Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Contract Compliance. In contrast, the City Council discussed its continued participation in the Orange County Public Library System and the Orange County Power Authority; approved funding two environmental programs, the Cool Irvine Block program and the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon; and discussed the dedication of an Armenian Genocide memorial at the Great Park.

If you couldn't tune in, this is an excellent way to stay up-to-date on his work and what is happening at City of Irvine City Hall!
