At last Tuesday’s Council Meeting, the City Council approved updates to the Green Ribbon Environmental Committee’s by-laws that include expanding the Committee’s membership by adding two middle- or high-school-aged members-at-large.

The Green Ribbon Environmental Committee advises the City Council on matters of climate protection, and will play a lead role in developing the City’s Climate Action Plan later this year.

The Committee and the Climate Action Plan will no doubt be well-served by a multigenerational team. Councilmember Agran and his appointee to the Green Ribbon Environmental Committee, Dr. Kev Abazajian, look forward to welcoming the new members to the Committee.
