Two traffic management projects designed to reduce congestion in Turtle Rock and University Park were approved by the City Council last week.

The improvements are planned for the intersection of University Drive and Ridgeline Road. University Drive will be widened between Ridgeline Drive and the I-405 freeway. The widening will lengthen the westbound dual left-turn pockets at Ridgeline to accommodate additional vehicles. A second project will add a second right-turn lane from Ridgeline onto University. For more details, consult the staff report or contact ubui@cityofirvine.org to request all planning documents related to the project.

These two projects are slated to accommodate both existing and future traffic volumes along this very busy regional traffic corridor.
