Veterans Memorial Park? Discussion Agendized by Councilmember Agran and Mayor Khan

On today's February 8th Irvine City Council agenda, Councilmember Agran and Mayor Khan co-sponsored item 3.4, called Consideration of a request by Mayor Khan and Councilmember Agran for a Veterans Memorial Park presentation and discussion.

Larry is looking forward to the discussion:

"I'm delighted to move forward with discussing the Veterans Memorial Park. Many residents have expressed an interest and excitement in jump-starting the demolition and clean-up of the historic 125-acre ARDA site."

Tune in tonight to hear Councilmember Agran and the Council address the development of the ARDA property. This discussion could transform the blighted ARDA site into a Veterans Memorial Park and open space for the entire community's benefit and enjoyment.

Below is an illustration from the original Ken Smith master plan showing the Great Park always featured a Veterans Memorial site and Botanical Garden. Above is a vision of how Irvine could manifest the plan today.
