City of Irvine Wall of Recognition

During the 2024 Wall of Recognition ceremony, the City of Irvine celebrated the accomplishments and commitment of several distinguished citizens and community partners. Vice Mayor Agran nominated Professors Keith L. Nelson and Spencer C. Olin, who created the Great Park Walkable Historical Timeline, a comprehensive perspective on human history. In the world of literature, Vice Mayor Agran also nominated Mitsuye Yamada, a Japanese American poet and advocate for feminism, who continues to inspire with her powerful voice, shedding light on the wartime incarceration of Japanese Americans. He was also excited to see Susan Sayre, a proud resident of Irvine and co-founder of Irvine Watchdog, recognized for her local advocacy and commitment to the betterment of her community.


Hyatt Regency Irvine Grand Re-Opening

The grand re-opening of the Hyatt Regency Irvine, Irvine's largest hotel, is a cause for celebration after its three-year closure. With elegant upgrades and modern amenities, the hotel is set to welcome guests once again to experience the best that Irvine has to offer. Irvine remains a sought-after destination in Orange County for both business and leisure travelers, and the Hyatt Regency Irvine only adds to the City's appeal. Vice Mayor Agran was honored to be a part of this milestone event and looks forward to enjoying all that Irvine has in store.


OCFA Water Safety Pop-Up

Our team enjoyed greeting everyone at the Orange County Fire Authority Water Safety event organized by the wonderful team at Fire Station 26. It's crucial to emphasize the significance of water safety during this time of year. Here are some key water safety recommendations to keep in mind:

  • Always closely monitor children in the water without any distractions.

  • Install and regularly check barriers around the pool area.

  • Ensure that rescue equipment such as a shepherd's hook, life-saving ring, and CPR sign are easily accessible near the pool.

30th Annual Studio Arts Festival

The 30th Annual Studio Arts Festival at Heritage Community Park was a truly remarkable day! Organized by the Irvine Fine Arts Center, this event gathered more than 100 skilled artists presenting their unique creations in various mediums such as ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, photography, textiles, glass art, prints, and paintings. Whether it was the detailed ceramics or the breathtaking paintings, there was a wide array of art for all to admire. It is crucial to show support for local artists and small enterprises, and events like these showcase the innovative spirit and skill that exists in our community.


Meet Me at the Museum—Pretend City Children's Museum

Our team had a fantastic experience at Pretend City's Meet Me at the Museum event. The exciting news is that Pretend City Children's Museum will be relocating to the Great Park in 2026. This museum provides outstanding early childhood development programs and chances to learn through play in a miniature city designed just for children.
