Memorial Day — Honor and Remembrance
In observance of Memorial Day, Vice Mayor Agran attended the Northwood Memorial Candle Lighting Ceremony and the City of Irvine Memorial Day Ceremony. These events honor and express gratitude for the courageous individuals who have selflessly served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Vice Mayor Agran encourages us to pause, reflect, and express appreciation for the bravery and might of those who have protected our freedoms, not just on Memorial Day, but every day.
Belaira Grand Opening
This past Thursday, Belaira celebrated the grand opening of its beautiful, pet-friendly community and the latest addition to the Great Park Neighborhoods. The affordable housing apartment community is now fully leased, thanks to the collaborative efforts of FivePoint Communities, Riverside Charitable, and Related California. Vice Mayor Agran congratulates the organizations for their hard work in bringing this project to fruition and extends a warm welcome to all new residents as they settle into their new homes.
What’s To Come — The Gateway Preserve
Vice Mayor Agran and the community delved into the distinct offerings of the Gateway Preserve. He is honored to have spearheaded this monumental effort and is overjoyed that North Irvine now boasts this remarkable 711-acre nature sanctuary for all to explore and appreciate. Collaborating with the Irvine Ranch Conservancy and other community partners, Vice Mayor Agran is eager to continue shaping and refining the Preserve's growth and care.
On the Frontline — Public Works Week
During National Public Works Week, Vice Mayor Agran enjoyed joining the community as staff discussed their careers, what they do to serve our community, and how their seamless work impacts life in Irvine. We are fortunate to have outstanding Public Works & Sustainability Department staff dedicated to ensuring our City is safe, clean, and beautiful. Vice Mayor Agran is most grateful for their commitment to the enhancement of the quality of life in our community.

Irvine Multicultural Association
Our team joined in on the bench dedication ceremony at the Lakeview Senior Center, celebrating the Irvine Multicultural Association (IMA), the founder of the annual Irvine Global Village Festival. We thank IMA for their ongoing efforts in organizing educational and social gatherings that promote unity, understanding, and a stronger community. Thank you to the generous donors: Greta Jacobs, Maria and Fati Yousef, George Faas, and Sarah and Nelson Mar.
2024 Studio Arts Festival
Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Studio Arts Festival with us at the Irvine Fine Arts Center on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This exciting event will feature over 100 talented local artists displaying their unique handmade creations, which will be available for purchase. Explore a variety of art forms, including hand-blown glass, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking, woodworking, clothing, and much more.
Admission is free, parking will be available, and a convenient shuttle service will be provided at the event.
