Last night, at the urging of many Irvine residents, the Irvine City Council adopted a resolution unanimously expressing their opposition to the expansion of the James A. Musick Jail Facility.

The resolution also urges the Board of Supervisors to convene a public meeting so “members of the public will have a full and fair opportunity to address their concerns to the Board of Supervisors”. Councilmember Agran’s hope is that the delivery of this resolution can produce such a public meeting at the earliest possible opportunity.

Here is a recording of the remarks made by Councilmember Agran when the resolution was discussed on Tuesday evening.
