Councilmember Agran shares honest reflections on decades of service to Irvine
After six months back in office, Councilmember Agran sat down with Irvine resident and The Vine blogger Emily Ball to reflect on his decades of service.
In the piece, he discusses his main achievements, biggest regrets, hopes for how City Council might work together more collaboratively now that pandemic restrictions are loosening, and, of course, his love of Irvine.
“I love the fact that we are a planned community, which has been planned for people,” says Agran. “Not just for developers. Not for profiteers. I love the villages, the neighborhoods, the neighborliness that has been planned for. And I love the people. Most people in the city buy into a very affirmative vision for this new planned city that is unfolding in ways that are very, very positive.”
