Stay up to date on the latest news in the City of Irvine.

Our community coming together is what Irvine is all about! It was a privilege to take a part in the second annual city-wide Serve Day hosted by Love Irvine. My team and I had the opportunity to visit with members of the community at the Lakeview Senior Center.

A special thank you to all the wonderful volunteers that came out to help the community and to Love Irvine for organizing this event and opportunities to serve our community.

Fun Fact Friday—Quail Hill Loop Trail is just under two miles and it offers views that go through Irvine Open Space Preserve. This trail is open dawn to dusk for hiking, biking and seasonal equestrian use. Dogs on a leash are permitted.

Quail Hill is also a corridor for larger mammals like coyotes, deer and bobcats and many of our local reptiles and amphibians also make their home here. Remember to be respectful of their space.

Be IrvineREADY! – In 2019, the City of Irvine launched a streamlined, web-based platform for planning and building applications, engineering reviews, and fees. Since the program came entirely online in April 2020, more than 6,600 new permit applications have been submitted.
This platform is designed to save you money and time by eliminating the need to visit City Hall The estimated result is 6,000 hours of customer wait time eliminated each year. The most frequent customers will likely continue to save tens of thousands of dollars each year in printing costs.
Before 2019, the Community Development Department at City Hall had hundreds of cubby storage units filled with blueprints. Now, you can access and manage these services from the comfort of your home.
Congratulations to the Community Development Department for faster plan reviews and cost saving to the city and customer since the launch of the program. Learn more at https://www.irvineready.com.

Congratulations Zeta FC soccer club for joining the United Premier Soccer League and the Zeta Soccer Academy's first-anniversary celebration.

Irvine Senior Services would like to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. If you know a veteran age 50 or older who is an Irvine Resident, we would like to thank them for their service by placing a free American flag in their yard or at their door in honor of Veterans Day.
Irvine Senior Citizens Council members and staff will deliver flags to residences on November 8–9. To nominate a veteran, please register online at https://secure.yourirvine.org/CA/city-of-irvine/catalog
Search "Veterans Day Recognition for Seniors" or Course No. 65385.

Thank you, Great Park, University of California, Irvine, community volunteers, and partners, for the first annual Fiesta Latina en Irvine event. My team and I had a wonderful time with all those who attended and visited our booth.
