Harvest Solutions Farm Volunteer Event

Last week, the community and Councilmember Agran joined forces to harvest a whopping 8,000 pounds of zucchinis destined for Orange County's food pantries! The Harvest Solutions Farm is vital in Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County's mission to ensure everyone can access

Irvine’s City Council Districts Forum

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to shape the future of Irvine’s City Council districts. Participate in the ongoing districting formation process and help define the boundaries of your communities of interest.

  • Quail Hill Community Center, located at 39 Shady Canyon Dr., at 10 a.m., and 

  • The South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, at 9 Truman St., at 2 p.m.

Bees and Beyond Event

This Monday, the community and Councilmember Agran experienced buzz-worthy excitement at our recent Bees and Beyond event, where community education took center stage with esteemed experts from the University of Riverside: Professor Boris Baer and Researcher Specialist Barbara Baer-Imhoof. The community explored the latest advancements in bee research and the sweet science of honey and beekeeping. Councilmember Agran thanks the Centre for Integrative Bee Research (CIBER), for their passion and for making the evening memorable for our residents.


Affordable Housing Opportunities

Irvine Affordable Housing Opportunities Open: Apply Now During the Interest List Period!

Belaira Apartments and Broadstone Edition are now accepting applications until September 12 and September 16, respectively. You must apply to each property separately for each housing opportunity. For more information and to view this information in another language, please visit the City of Irvine's Affordable Housing website at https://www.cityofirvine.org/affordable-housing/marketing-period-opening-180-affordable-units-irvine. To join the interest list for the Belaira Apartments, individuals should visit the following website at www.belairaliving.com. Cattle Camp Reopening

On July 15, the community gathered to celebrate the long-awaited reopening of the Cattle Camp at Bommer Canyon Preserve! Councilmember Agran thanks Planning Commissioner Mary Ann Gaido for her initial proposal for the amenity. The Cattle Camp at Bommer Canyon Preserve has been the source of incredible fun and enjoyment for our residents. As an early leader, Mary Ann Gaido was also instrumental in preserving much of our open space in the City of Irvine in perpetuity. Update on Live Music Amphitheater 

After overwhelming correspondence and robust public testimony, the City Council officially terminated exclusive negotiations with LiveNation. It directed the City Manager to develop a recommended process and timeline for further consideration and advancement of the 8,000- to 10,000-seat Amphitheater Project. Councilmember Agran recognizes the importance of live music and looks forward to the results of this City-facilitated, community-oriented approach.
