The Great Park's new era was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, May 23, with a groundbreaking ceremony. Although there is a ton of work to be done, Councilmember Agran is optimistic that we can achieve something remarkable if we work together. Let's prepare ourselves for the exciting journey ahead!


Pride at Irvine City Hall

In honor of Pride Month, the City of Irvine came together with the LGBTQIA+ community on May 22 at the Irvine Civic Center Piazza. The Progress Flag was proudly raised in front of the City Hall building to symbolize recognition and support for Irvine's vibrant and diverse community. 


Congratulations to the Irvine Valley College Interactive Media Arts Program

Councilmember Agran congratulates the Interactive Media Arts Program (IMA) at Irvine Valley College for their remarkable achievement! At the May 23 City Council meeting, the students were acknowledged for their dedication and hard work. Four teams from the IMA program were chosen as finalists in the prestigious Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) GameSiG Showcase. This national collegiate video game competition celebrates innovation and computer game development, and the IMA teams' success is a testament to their creativity and talent. Councilmember Agran would like to express his gratitude to Dr. Pat Beckmann Wells and Irvine Valley College for their unwavering commitment to our local community.


17th Annual Super Pet Adoption

Community Services Commissioner Jing Sun had a fantastic time at the 17th Annual Super Pet Adoption event! It is amazing to witness the community coming together with local pet rescue groups to help adorable furry friends find their forever homes. Councilmember Agran thanks the Irvine Animal Care Center for making this event possible.
