All American Asphalt concerns warrant special City Council meeting

Along with other councilmembers, Councilmember Agran joined in the March 3rd AQMD Virtual Community Meeting to discuss concerns regarding the environmental impacts of the All American Asphalt Plant in north Irvine (recording available below). It was scheduled to be a two-hour meeting and it ended up running for four hours — all of them worthwhile.

As Councilmember Agran reported at Tuesday’s Council Meeting (recording available above), in his view there is a serious air quality problem coupled with a quality of life issue that must be dealt with. He continues to urge a special City Council meeting to fully explore the nature and scope of the problem and an array of potential solutions.

In the meantime, the Councilmember acknowledges the frustration of the residents whose air quality and quality of life are being diminished. Councilmember Agran hears your concerns and is determined to resolve a number of issues as quickly as possible.
